TORONTO, ON Dec 11, 2014 – The National Crowdfunding Association of Canada (NCFA Canada) today announced that Steve Tam, Hardware, Tech and Design Lead, Indiegogo Canada, has joined the Association’s Crowdfunding Ambassadors Program.
“We’re very excited that Canada continues to be a highly innovative and robust source of market activity for Indiegogo since expanding to Canada in June 2013, and welcome Steve as an expert resource in leading some of the most explosive crowdfunding segments around - hardware, tech and design,” said Craig Asano, Executive Director of the National Crowdfunding Association of Canada.
Crowdfunding Ambassadors (CFAs) are leaders, educators, supporters and advocates of an inclusive and broad-based crowdfunding industry in communities across Canada. They are circles of influence and ‘go to resources’ for small businesses and investors to connect with, share and learn about crowdfunding via locally hosted events and initiatives. CFAs are specialists and plugged into an international network of shared resources, thought leadership, and industry professionals striving to cultivate and shape the future of crowdfunding in Canada and beyond.
Steve is the Canadian lead in Hardware, Tech, and Design for Indiegogo. He has co-founded creative branding agency 100 Acre Wood, Simcoe Bicycles, and Metsa Design. Last fall he was named to Marketing Magazine's Top 30 Under 30, and is Toronto's Ambassador for the Swiss founded Sandbox Network.
“Crowdfunding is an incredible way to test your assumptions before you test your bank account,” -- Steve Tam, Hardware, Tech and Design Lead, Indiegogo Canada.
