NCFA Canada Crowdfunding Ambassadors

Crowdfunding Ambassadors (CFAs) are leaders, educators, supporters and advocates of an inclusive and broad-based crowdfunding industry in communities across Canada.  They are circles of influence and ‘go to resources’ for small businesses and investors to connect with, share and learn about crowdfunding via locally hosted events and initiatives.  CFAs are specialists and plugged into an international network of shared resources, thought leadership, and industry professionals striving to cultivate and shape the future of crowdfunding in Canada and beyond.

Diana Yazidjian, President, DFY Consulting

Diana Yazidjian has over 15 years’ experience in the technology community acting in both an entrepreneurial and partnership capacity. She launched her first venture in 1998, consulting for retail businesses and she was among the first to join the Internet bubble in Montreal. She later joined Orange-France Telecom in France where she wore many hats as leading the transformation toward a customer-centric organization and overseeing the development of more than twenty technology innovations. Diana was also adjunct professor of Marketing at l’Ecole des sciences de la gestion, formerly a member of Competitive Intelligence Association and the Canadian Marketing Association.

Diana has developed significant business expertise and guided organizations to great successes. In December 2011, Diana launched DFY Consulting (form. Yazziness), a service company to SMEs, start-ups and associations with the mission of bettering their social presence and their customer service as well as finding new ways to create value. As an active member in Montreal’s start-up community, she teaches crowdfunding to entrepreneurs, helping bring their projects to fruition and build their audience, and also speaks at marketing and corporate events. Diana joined the board of Invest Crowdfund Canada for Quebec, where she and her team are creating momentum and educating the business community on investment crowdfunding through different talks and events. Diana received an MBA at the University of Quebec in Montreal.

“With the proliferation of social networks the need for transparency is here to stay. Entrepreneurs and business owners will be expected to disclose information about their company online more than ever before. This represents a significant change that the financial sector will have to come to grips with. The more information, the better the crowd will reward.” – Diana Yazidjian, DFY Consulting

“Diana is committed to advancing the approval of healthy equity crowdfunding regulations across Canada.  She is passionate, knowledgeable and very supportive towards helping start-ups and SMEs achieve crowdfunding success.” -- Craig Asano, Founder and Executive Director, NCFA Canada
